Landscapes Alive

Artists Al Anderson and Carla Beerens of the Visual Arts Studio Association of St. Albert present diverse interpretations of landscape in a dual exhibition of paintings at VASA's Grandin Park Plaza location.

In Beerens' Madison River in Yellowstone National Park, five 3-foot square canvasses carry the viewer along a colorful and playful, yet rugged riverscape that is still evolving.

While you're there, hike around Canada's natural beauty through the eyes of oil painter Al Anderson. Over a four-year span, this installment of Anderson’s continuing My Canada series explores everything from Alberta's foothills and boreal forests to the night skies of the north and seascapes of the Maritimes.

Both exhibitions continue through November 30, at Grandin Park Plaza, 22 Sir Winston Churchill Avenue, St. Albert.

Tuesdays-Fridays 10-4 and Saturdays 10-3.

Other times by chance or appointment.

Artist Carla Beerens in attendance Wednesdays.
