Remember, as pine cones remember

when to be evergreen, as deciduous trees

remember when to bud, to leaf,

to let go and sleep dream. Remember,

as migratory birds remember when to unfurl

and when to fold their wings,

as the sun knows dawn and dusk,

as the moon knows all cycles. Remember,

as lakes remember when to be ice,

when to be in wave, and when to be still,

as each sea knows each river and each river

knows the rain and melted snow,

Night of Artists

The Night of Artists event is coming shortly (starts this Thursday). I must admit I was apprehensive about signing up as I found the Whyte Ave Art Walk in the past to be an intensive, gritty and exhausting experience. However, NoA I figure is like WAAW without the dirt, rain and drunks. And, unlike WAAW, pretty much everyone at NoA are interested in art and have paid to attend. This by itself is worth the entry fee. And, unlike WAAW, most of my personal energies can be put into chatting with clients and other artists, discussing my work and future directions, ie. marketing.
